பொது அறிவுப் போட்டி - Common Qu 2025

ஆண்டுதோறும் நடாத்தப்படும் பொது அறிவுப் போட்டிகளுக்கான விண்ணப்பங்கள் கோரப்படுகின்றன.  Applications are now OPEN for annual Common Quiz

To all students in grades 1-8, the Canadian Tamil Academy welcomes you to participate in our 2025 Common Quiz competition! The competition will be a multiple-choice exam written in English. An answer key will be provided to participants upon registration. However, the test will include 10 questions not included in the answer key. Contestants must compete in the category corresponding to their day school grade.

Questions will be asked in the following fields:

• Science
• Mathematics
• Politics
• Geography
• Sociology
• Sports
• History
• Art
• Literature

Common knowledge quizzes are important for several reasons:

• Assesses foundational understanding: They evaluate a person's basic understanding of a subject or field. This is crucial for determining whether someone is prepared for more advanced learning or specific tasks.
• Identifies knowledge gaps: By highlighting areas where knowledge is lacking, common knowledge quizzes can help individuals pinpoint areas for improvement and targeted learning.
• Encourages learning: These tests can motivate individuals to expand their knowledge base, as they may realize they need to fill in gaps to perform well.
• Standardizes knowledge: Common knowledge quizzes can help ensure that everyone has a baseline understanding of certain topics, which can be beneficial in educational settings or professional environments.
• Facilitates communication: A shared understanding of common knowledge can improve communication and collaboration between individuals, as they can reference shared information and avoid misunderstandings.

திறன்தேர்வுகள் - கணிதம், ஆங்கிலம்

ஆண்டுதோறும் நடாத்தப்படும் மேற்படி தேர்வுகளுக்கான விண்ணப்பங்கள் கோரப்படுகின்றன. ஒன்ராரியோ அரசின் பாடத்திட்டங்களுக்கு அமைவாக இத்தேர்வுகள் நடைபெறும். இளமழலை முதல் தரம் 8 வரை பயிலும் மாணவர் இத்தேர்வுகளில் பங்கு கொள்ளலாம். ஒவ்வொரு தரத்துக்குமான தேர்வுத் தாள்கள், ஒன்றாரியோ மாகாணக் கல்வி அமைச்சின் பாடத் திட்டத்துக்கு அமைய, ஆசிரியர்களால் தயாரிக்கப்படுகின்றன. பொதுத்தேர்வாக இத்தேர்வு அமைவதால், மாணவரின் துறை சார்ந்த அறிவு நிலையை பெற்றோர் அறியலாம். இந்நிலையில் மாணவருக்கான மேலதிக உதவிகளைப் பெற்றோர் வழங்க முடியும். 

Applications are now OPEN for annual proficiency tests. These tests, aligned with the Ontario Ministry of Education curriculum, are open to students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8. Teachers develop test papers for each grade level based on the provincial curriculum. As a standardized assessment, these tests provide parents with valuable insights into their child's academic strengths and weaknesses, enabling them to provide targeted support.

• Purpose of the tests: To assess students' proficiency in Math and English.
• Alignment with the curriculum: The tests are based on the Ontario curriculum.
• Benefits to parents: Parents can use the results to understand their child's strengths and weaknesses.

தமிழிசைத் தொன்மை: புரிதலும் பேணலும்.

தமிழ் மக்களின் வாழ்வோடு இசை இரண்டறக் கலந்துள்ளதை நாம் அனைவரும் அறிவோம். தமிழ் மொழியானது இயல், இசை, நாடகம் என்ற முப்பிரிவுகளையும் கொண்டமைவதனால் முத்தமிழ் என்று அழைக்கப்படுகின்றது. முதற் சங்கப் புலவராகக் கருதப்படும் அகத்தியரால் இயல், இசை, கூத்து என மூன்றாகப் பகுக்கப் பெற்ற இந்த முத்தமிழ்ப் பிரிவானது தமிழின் தொன்மையையும் இசையின் தொன்மையையும் அடையாளமிட்டு நிற்கின்றது.

பண்பட்ட இனங்கள் அனைத்தும் தமக்கெனத் தனித்தனி இசை மரபுகளைக் கொண்டிருப்பது வழமையாகும். இதே போன்று நாடோடியினங்களும் வனவாசிகளும் கூடத் தமக்கென ஓர் இசை மரபினைக் கொண்டிருப்பார்கள். தமிழிசையானது இற்றைக்கு இரண்டாயிரம் ஆண்டுகள் பழமையுடையதாகும். இயற்கையோடு இணைந்து வாழ்ந்த தமிழினத்தின் இசை மரபானது, தமிழ்ப் பண்பாட்டோடும் இரண்டறக் கலந்திருந்தது. அனைத்து உயிர்களையும் தன்வயப்படுத்தி இசைய வைப்பது இசையாகும். இங்கு, நாம் தமிழிசைத் தொன்மை என்பதை எடுத்து நோக்கினால்….

யூலை மாதம் கோடை காலத் தமிழ் வகுப்புகள் (Tamil Credit Course) தொடங்குகின்றன.
தாய்மொழி தமிழை உங்கள் பிள்ளை படிக்கவில்லையே என்று கவலைப்படுகிறீர்களா? கவலை வேண்டாம்.
மாணவரின் தமிழ் மொழி அறிவுக்கேற்ப ஆறு நிலைகளில் தமிழ் நூல்கள். எளிதான வகையில், அடிப்படையில் இருந்தே தமிழைப் படிப்பதற்கான வாய்ப்பு. 

தமிழை ஒரு போதும் படிக்காதவர்களும், இடைநடுவில் தமிழ்க்கல்வியை தொடர முடியாமல் போன மாணவர்களும் விரும்பிப் படிப்பதற்கான வாய்ப்பு.

தமிழைப் படிப்பதால் வரும் நன்மைகள்.

1. தமிழர் என்ற பெருமைமிகு அடையாளத்தை தமிழ் மொழியுடாக மாணவர் அறிந்து கொள்வர். தமிழரது மொழி, நாடு, பண்பாடு, வரலாறு, கலைகள், பழக்கவழக்கங்கள், வாழ்வியல் சடங்குகள் முதலியவற்றை அறிந்து, தமிழர் என்ற பெருமிதத்தோடு தமிழைப் பேசி வாழ்வர்.

2. அன்றாடப் பள்ளிகளில் விருப்பப் பாடமாக (Elective Subjects) தமிழ் மொழியைத் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கும் வாய்ப்பு. 3 தமிழ்த் தேர்ச்சிகளை (3 Credits) பெறும் வாய்ப்பு. விரும்பிய பல்கலைக்கழகத்துக்கு செல்லும் வாய்ப்பு.

மேலே கூறப்பட்டுள்ள நன்மைகள் தமிழ் வகுப்புகளில் இணைந்து கொள்வதால் தங்கள் பிள்ளைகளுக்குக் கிட்டும். கோடை காலத் தமிழ் வகுப்புகள் இணையவழி வாயிலாக நடைபெறவுள்ளன. தங்கள் பதிவுகளை www.tamilacademy.org இணையத்தளத்தில் தாங்கள் மேற்கொள்ளலாம்.

திறன்தேர்வுகள் - 2024

திறன்தேர்வுகள் 2024 மே மாதத்தில் நடைபெறவுள்ளன. துறைதோறும் தமிழர் பெருமையுற வேண்டும் என்ற நோக்கோடு இத்தேர்வுகள் ஆண்டு தோறும் கனடாத் தமிழ்க் கல்லூரியால் நடத்தப்பட்டு வருகின்றது.

இவ்வாண்டுத் தேர்வுக்களுக்குரிய விண்ணப்பங்கள் 2024 ஏப்ரல் 1ஆம் நாள்வரை இணையத் தளம் ஊடாக ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்பட்டு வருகிறது. தேர்வு முடிவுகள் தமிழ்க் கல்லூரியின் தகவல் செயலி மற்றும் இணையத் தளத்தில் அறிவிக்கப்படும். மாணவருக்கான மதிப்பளிப்பு யூன் இரண்டாம் கிழமை நடைபெறும். 

இளமழலை முதல் தரம் 8 வரை பயிலும் மாணவர் இத்தேர்வுகளில் பங்கு கொள்ளலாம். ஒவ்வொரு தரத்துக்குமான தேர்வுத் தாள்கள், ஒன்றாரியோ மாகாணக் கல்வி அமைச்சின் பாடத் திட்டத்துக்கு அமைய, ஆசிரியர்களால் தயாரிக்கப்படுகின்றன. பொதுத்தேர்வாக இத்தேர்வு அமைவதால், மாணவரின் துறை சார்ந்த அறிவு நிலையை பெற்றோர் அறியலாம். இந்நிலையில் மாணவருக்கான மேலதிக உதவிகளைப் பெற்றோர் வழங்க முடியும். 

Mathematics/ English Competitive Exams

Applications are accepted through the website from 1st January to 1st April every year.  Exams will be held in May. The exam results will be announced on the app and website. Award Ceremony will be held on the second week of June.

These exams are conducted for students studying from Kindergarten to 8th standard. The examination papers for each grade are prepared by the teachers as per the syllabus of the Ontario Ministry of Education. As this exam is a general exam, parents can know the knowledge level of the student in the field. In this case, parents can provide additional assistance to the student.

கோடை காலத் தமிழ் வகுப்புகள்

தமிழ் ஒரு செம்மொழி.  முச்சங்கம் கண்டு தழைத்து வளர்ந்த மொழி. பல ஆயிரம் ஆண்டுகளாக எம் முன்னோர் எமக்காகக் காத்த மொழி. சோழக் கரிகாலன் முதல் ஈழக் கரிகாலன் வரை போற்றி வளர்த்த மொழி. தொடர்ந்து எம் சந்ததிக்குக் கடத்தப் போகிறோமா? இல்லையா? தமிழைக் கற்றால் பண்பாட்டையும் கற்கின்றோம். பண்பாட்டைக் கற்றால் பண்பட்ட மனிதன் ஆகிறோம். எமது பிள்ளைகளுக்குத் தமிழைப் பண்பாட்டு மொழியாகக் கற்பிப்போம். கோடைகால தமிழ்த் திறமைநெறி வகுப்புகளுக்கான பதிவுகள் தொடங்கியுள்ளன.  பதிவுகளை தமிழ்க் கல்லூரியின் இணையத் தளத்தில் செய்யலாம்.

தரம் 9 முதல் 12 வரை தமிழ் தெரிந்தவர், தெரியாதவர் அனைவருக்குமான 6 நிலைகளில் பாடப் புத்தகங்கள். பிள்ளைகள் சிறுவயதில் கற்கத் தவறியதை தரம் 9 இல்

இருந்தும் கற்கலாம்.  மேலதிக விவரங்களுக்கு 416 757 2006 எண்ணோடு தொடர்பு கொள்ளுங்கள்.
